Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using AudioBrief. By installing the extension or creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. The Service
AudioBrief is a Chrome extension and web dashboard that uses AI to summarize web articles and convert them to audio. The service is provided by AudioBrief ("we", "us", or "our").
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use AudioBrief. By using the service you represent that you meet this requirement.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You agree not to share your account with others or use anyone else's account. Notify us immediately at support@audiobrief.cc if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Tokens and Billing
- Each plan grants a fixed number of tokens (briefs) per monthly billing cycle.
- Each brief costs exactly 1 token, regardless of article length.
- Unused tokens roll over to the following month.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
- Subscription fees are charged at the start of each billing period.
5. Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Your access and token balance remain active until the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for unused time within a billing cycle. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use AudioBrief to process content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
- Attempt to circumvent token limits, reverse-engineer the service, or abuse the API.
- Resell or sublicense access to the service.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
7. Content
You retain ownership of any article content you submit. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content solely to provide the service to you. We do not use your content to train AI models.
8. AI Accuracy
AudioBrief's AI summaries are generated automatically and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. We do not warrant that summaries are complete, accurate, or suitable for any particular purpose. Always verify important information from the original source.
9. Availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes to the service at any time. We are not liable for any loss caused by service interruptions.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AudioBrief and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 30 days prior to the claim.
11. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. We'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of AudioBrief after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
